Six Sigma :-

 Six sigma is a tool and techniques used for quality improvement, problem solving. 

In simple word it can be defined as improvement methodology for  manufacturing process as well as administrative and service. 

     Six sigma is generally focus on minimising or educing defect and obtain a  perfect product and services. 

What does six sigma actually mean:-

Six sigma named after a statistical concept where process only produce 3.4 defect per million opportunities dpmo

Thus six Sigma also thought of a goal where process not only encounter less defect but also consistently ( low variabilityility).           

DPMO :- different levels in six sigma according to the Defect per million opportunities 

How six sigma works...? 

Six sigma main function is to improve the quality of output of a process by identifying and removing the cause of defect and minimising variability in manufacturing and business processes. 

It uses sets of quality management methods. And statistical method. 

 

Each six sigma process carried out with in the organization follow a defined sequence of steps and has specific value target

1. DMAIC  ( Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) 

It is data driven quality strategy for improving processes 

This methodology is used to increase to improve existing business processe.

2. DMADV :-

This method strategy to improve new products design and process. 

 

It is used to make new process defect free.
