Motor Testing instruments


 Motor Testing Instruments:-

Many instruments are used for Electrical motor testing dome of these are -

1. Multimeter :

A multimeter is a electronic device used for measurement of several function in one unit. It is multitester device also called VOM
Volt-ohm-milliammeter.
Multimeter can measure voltage, current, and resistance. 

Magger :-

Magger is electronic device used for measurement of insulation Resistance of motor. It is used to measure electrical leakage of current. 


Kelvin meter ( double bridge resistance meter) :-

It is used to measure winding resistance. 
We connect one terminal of kelvin meter in U1 and other to U2 and record value in milliohm. Then connect V1 by one terminal and V2 by other and again record value. Same process repeated with third terminal.

Tan Delta : 

Tan delta is a electronic device used for measurement of dielectric strength and capacitance of electrical motor 



Tong Tester :-

Tong tester or clamp meter generally used for current measurement of live conductor without damage. 

Vibro meter :-

Vibro meter is a electronic  device used for measurement of vibration of motor.
