Itis a device used to transfer heat for two or more fluid. It is used for cooling and heating

It consists of multiple tube separate by solid wall as shown in fig

1.shell and tube heat exchanger 
2. Double pipe heat exchanger 
3. Plate heat exchanger 
4. Condenser 
5. Evaporator 
6. Boiler
